What RentSlicer Does | |
RentSlicer provides you with "the final word on neighborhood rents." |
 | |
Yes, it's a big claim. But, as you use the site and see all the tools and information
it offers, you'll see what we mean by "final word." Look at other sites, but just
make sure you visit RentSlicer before you sign a rental lease. |
 | |
On RentSlicer, you can quickly see the most important facts needed to make an informed
decision on your next rental. Check out rental prices on apartments across the U.S.
and in your neighborhood. You can view units based on price, unit type, bedrooms,
bathrooms and 18 other important amenities (such as laundry, parking, etc). |
 | |
The RentSlicer database imports, categorizes, whirls, churns and analyzes huge numbers
of rental listings from a variety of sources, including more than 80 markets across
the country. This enables you to view current rental statistics and reports, historical
trends, and even see a map highlighting all the properties fitting your criteria. | |
Bottom line: You find the best apartment for the least amount of money. |
 | |
Don't get caught overpaying for your rental. |

In 2005, August Kliemo bought a rental property in Venice, CA and didn't know what
the fair rent should be. "I didn't want to play a guessing game with the rent. I
wanted to know what comparable units were renting for, and then I'd set my rent
accordingly. However, there were no internet tools that could help me." |
 | |
"So, I made one," August said in retrospect. |
 | |
From its humble beginnings as a simple project to solve a problem, RentSlicer took
off. A few months later the team August assembled began getting requests for more
cities and added San Francisco, San Diego and Seattle. |
 | |
Around that time, they met some like-minded entrepreneurs from Chicago working for
Socrates Media. The folks from Socrates fell in love with the concept of Rentslicer,
so they combined forces with the intention of helping renters across the nation
find affordable and competitively priced rental units. |
 | |
RentSlicer has quickly become "the final word" for renters looking for their next
place to live. |
